8. We recommend that facilities should be provided if

possible for local teachers in training to acquire some

knowledge of music, drawing and handwork, so as to enable them

to teach these subjects at any rate in the lower classes of the

school. Such facilities could, we suggest, be given if in the

future a new training centre for teachers is provided by

Government.
